What comes as standard

Every part leaves here with its supports removed and the contact points cleaned up by hand. That is not an upgrade, it is what a finished part means. Anything that arrives still wearing its scaffolding was not finished.

Beyond that, several things are worth having done properly:

Sanding takes the layer lines down so a part reads as a product rather than a print. Priming gives paint something to grip and shows up any surface defects while they can still be fixed. Assembly and bonding for models printed in sections, including the dowel or dovetail alignment that keeps the joint invisible. Heat set threaded inserts for parts that need to take a real machine screw more than once.

Large models printed in sections

Anything over 250 x 210 x 210 mm gets split. Done badly that leaves an ugly line across the middle of the piece. Done properly the seam falls somewhere the eye does not go, the joint is doweled so it aligns exactly, and once bonded and sanded it is genuinely hard to find.

We will show you where we intend to cut before we print, so there are no surprises about where the join lands.

Frequently asked

Is support removal charged extra?
No. Removing supports and cleaning the contact points is part of producing a finished part, so it is included in every order. Sanding, priming, painting and assembly are the paid extras.
Can you add metal threads to a printed part?
Yes. Heat set brass inserts can be fitted where the part needs to take a real machine screw repeatedly. Tell us the fastener size when you send the model so the holes are sized correctly from the start.
