UK PRINT ON DEMAND
Send us a model. We print it properly and post it to you.
Layerworks 3D is a UK print on demand service for one off parts, prototypes and small batch runs. FDM and resin, calibrated machines, tolerances checked before a production run starts. You get a quote back in one working day and a tracked parcel when it ships.
Why send it here
Six things that come as standard on every order, whether it is one part or two hundred.
Tolerances checked before the run
Fitted parts get a test coupon first, printed at 0.15, 0.20, 0.25 and 0.30 mm clearance on production settings. We lock the fit before committing filament to a full run, so assemblies actually go together.
Material chosen for the job
PLA for display pieces, PETG for anything that lives outdoors or takes load, ABS for heat, TPU for flex, resin for fine detail. If you are not sure, describe what the part does and we will tell you.
Every part inspected before packing
Layer adhesion, first layer, dimensional check against the model, and supports removed and cleaned up by hand. Anything that fails gets reprinted at our cost, not yours.
Tracked UK despatch
Parts are packed to survive the courier, not just to fit the box. Tracked postage on every order and a photo of the finished part before it goes in the packaging.
No model, no problem
Send a sketch, a photo, a drawing or a broken original. We model it, send you a render to approve, then print. You own the resulting file.
Repeat runs stay identical
Machine, material batch and slicer profile are recorded against your order. Come back in six months and part two hundred matches part one.
How it works
Four steps from your file to a parcel. No account needed, no minimum contract.

Send the model
Email an STL, STEP, 3MF or OBJ file. Tell us the quantity, roughly what the part does, and whether anything needs to fit something else. If you have no file, send a photo or a sketch with dimensions.

Get a quote
We slice the file, check it for thin walls, trapped supports and unprintable overhangs, and come back within one working day with a fixed price, a material recommendation and a despatch date. If the model needs a change to print well, we say so and explain why.

We print it
Approved orders go on a calibrated machine with a recorded profile. Fitted parts get a tolerance coupon first. Long runs are checked at the start, the middle and the end rather than only when they finish.
